Aqua Palace offers courses for the Certified Pool Operator® Program. CPO® Certification courses are designed to provide individuals with the extended knowledge, techniques, and skills of pool and spa operations in a commercial facility. This certification class is recognized throughout the entire United States.

In previous years, this CPO® program was provided as a two-day class that covers 14-16 hours of information from the CPO® Handbook. Five years ago NSPF came up with the new option to do what is called a Fusion CPO® class. The set up of this class is much easier for most people because you complete one days worth of learning at home as your time allows. The total time needed to do the online portion is anywhere from 5-8 hrs and it goes over 12 chapters that we will not go over much in class since you will be attending for just 1 day instead of 2. Many people can not find time in their work schedules to break away from work for 2 days in a row and we understand that. The class is run from 9 am – roughly 5 pm. The test normally starts around 2 pm and you are given 4 hours to complete the test and are free to leave once you have finished.

Scott will conveniently score your test promptly after completing it and you will know your score before you leave!

Scott Rolenc is the certified NSPF® Instructor for this class. He has 15 year of personal experience in the pool & spa industry and owns and operates his own pool & spa retail store.

When you complete the online portion, attend the 1-day course and pass the open book exam with a 75% or better score, you’ll receive your CPO® certification in the mail within 3-4 weeks. This certificate is good for 5 years before you have to renew it and go through the class again. It is mandated that you must attend a 2 hr CPO® continuing education class every year to keep your certificate in active standings.

The program and certification are recognized by most local health departments.
