Your Marquis hot tub will automatically add the perfect combination of bromine sanitizer along with minerals after each use! Vortex skimmers skim surface contaminants such as body oils and lotions then direct them into the filter cartridges which trap contaminants and particulates. Water is also drawn from the footwell through a safety suction fitting.

How often to replace cartridges?
Mineral cartridges should be replaced every three to four months, with each hot tub refill (which is recommended every 3-4 months). Your bromine cartridge will last approximately 4 weeks depending on usage. The bromine cartridge will feel empty when it is time to replace it, however the mineral cartridge still contains the remaining pellets of the minerals used, which will make it seem full still. Mark on your calendar when you replace each of them to give yourself a quick reminder!
What to add after use
After each use, it is recommended to add 1-2 ounces of shock per person after exiting the hot tub. This will re-activate the bromine that is currently in the water to be able to actively kill any of the bacteria that you recent brought in. It is also recommended to leave your cover open for 15 minutes, with pumps running on high, to allow any of the contaminants to gas off properly.
