Why It’s Important to Replace your Hot Tub Cover before Fall!

It’s Cracked
A very good indication that your hot tub cover will need to be replaced is if you are starting to see cracking. It will normally start as small indentions in the foam that are lower than the rest of the cover. As time goes on these will start to increase in length and width and will cause an actual crack to form thru the material of the cover. A protectant can be used on top of the cover such as 303 Cover Cleaner which will protect your new cover from the harmful sunrays that we get in Omaha throughout the year, which can cause this to occur with time. Use it on a monthly basis to keep the cover looking new and clean and protected!
It’s Heavy
If you have to use your hot tub to relieve the stress in your arms and back just from opening your hot tub cover, then you are way pasted due for a new one my friend! As hot tub covers age, the plastic barrier that encloses the foam will start to deteriorate and cause water weight to begin to collect inside the foam itself. This will cause the hot tub cover to become extremely heavy, sometimes even up to 6 times its original weight brand new.
