How to Create a Perfect Pool Party!
March 15/2020 Who doesn't love a fun party in the pool? Whether you are gearing up for a birthday party, family reunion, or a holiday party, get ready to let the fun times roll! Just in time for the 4 of July, find out how to make your holiday pool party the best party ever!
Safety First...
It’s important to keep safety in mind, regardless if you are having a pool party or just using your pool with your children. Always have several adults overlooking the pool as the party is going on, to insure that all the children are able to swim and are not struggling. Allowing children to be out of your watchful site for even just a few seconds can turn into a deadly situation very quickly. Nobody wants to end a pool party early due to a child nearly drowning. A watchful eye can prevent these disasters before they even start! Make sure that smaller children, or those who do not know how to swim, have brought flotation devices to wear or that you have some to provide them. This will not eliminate the needed watchful eye, but will allow the children to swim more freely without struggling, so please stay close by.

Allow a place for everyone to hang their towels until they need them, to keep them from blowing in the pool or laying on the ground and getting dirty. Colorful plastic drink ware is also a must for pool side parties, which allows even kids to join in the fun with a cool looking glass for their kool-aid! Making colorful kool-aid pops or ice cubes is also a super fun way to capture the kid’s attention because who doesn’t like colored ice cubes floating in your poolside drink? Popsicles of any kind are also a huge hit on a hot summer’s day after a long afternoon swim! There are so many ways to make your next pool party a hit that all who attend will be raving about all summer long!
Let the food settle before swimming...
If you are planning on having food at the party, keep in mind that it is recommended to let the food settle for at least 20 mins before entering the pool again. After everyone has finished eating, find some fun games to play on the patio that will keep everyone engaged and entertained while the 20 mins passes! Turn up some music and have the kids make up funny moves to the songs; there are so many things to do at a fun pool party that the possibilities are endless!
