How to Make Your Favorite Swimsuit Last Longer
March 18/2020 Hot water and chlorine are hard on your swimsuits. Unfortunately they aren’t inexpensive and can be very hard to find the perfect one, so why ruin it? If you are tired of having to find a new favorite swimsuit each year due to the chemicals in your hot tub or pool, we’ve got the solution for you! Follow these simple tips to keep your favorite suit around longer!
Rinse After Use –
Removing chlorine residue while the suit is still wet will get more of the residue out of the swimsuit before it dry’s. This will prolong the lifespan of your swimming suit by not allowing the chlorine to dry and leach into your suit, ruining the color and material.

Don’t Wash –
It’s recommended to not run your swimsuits through the washing machine at any point in time. Not only will it cause heaping mounds of foam in your hot tub during the next few uses (which will be there until you drain the spa), it will also fade the color and wear down the material. Suits were made to be worn, rinsed with water only and hung up to dry.
Sit on a towel –
If you tend to dangle your feet into the pool, it is recommended that you sit on a towel so that you don’t damage the fibers of your swimsuit by snagging them on the concrete or wood deck. One of the first areas of a swimsuit to deteriorate is your bum due to this very issue. The fibers will start to snag and catch when you are sitting and will pull the fibers apart.
