How to extend the life of your hot tub!

It’s extremely important to properly maintain any item (including your home, appliances, and cars) just as it is to maintain your hot tub. Your Marquis Spa is well built and is meant to last 30 + years, so here are the tips on how to maintain your investment!
Check Water Regularly
Keeping the sanitizer (chlorine or bromine) levels as well as pH levels in the correct ranges at all times, will prevent additional damage to not only the hot tub shell overtime, but also the equipment such as motors, heaters, seals, etc. We recommend to check the hot tub at least every other day and to add the necessary chemicals when needed to maintain those proper levels. This will prevent the water from “getting away from you” and turning cloudy and will help to prevent unnecessary damage to your hot tub equipment.

Not only is the water hard to manage chemical wise if it is left in too long, but the residue of chemicals that have built up in the water and in the plumbing need to be cleaned out on a regular basis. There is a cleaner that you can run through the plumbing to help remove any build up that may be in the plumbing lines. It is recommended to do a jet cleanse at least twice a year.

If you see a small drip coming from the motor compartment area, it is important to fix the issue as soon as possible. Waiting will only cause the problem to get much worse and will then cause additional costly repairs (like replacing an entire motor instead of just the pump seal). Keep a watchful eye out to insure your hot tub is running properly at all times!
