What to Consider Before Placing a Hot Tub Indoors
March 09/2020

Looking to place a hot tub inside the house or 3 seasons room? It does make for a warmer trip to the hot tub on those snowy days, but what about those beautiful days that you’d rather be outside while enjoying a soak in your hot tub? We will give you a couple things to think about before finding the perfect location for your new hot tub.

Top 5 Things to Consider Before Placing a Hot Tub Indoors (Only Specific Models Will Work:)
If you have always dreamed of having a larger spa with the capacity to fit the whole family, plan on placing the spa on the deck or outside patio. Keep in mind that hot tubs do not have the ability to twist or turn easily around objects including walls and other obstructions. The Marquis Rendezvous, Marquis Spirit, Marquis Everyday 322 and the Everyday 425 are the perfect models that will fit thru most doors for easy placement inside. (Please speak with a member of our sales team to insure that your specific location will allow for the placement of one of these hot tubs inside.)

Flooring Around the Hot Tub:
It’s important to plan accordingly where to place the hot tub, depending on the surface that it will be sat on. Carpet is NOT recommended, as you will have condensation from the hot tub cover being opened on a regular basis, which will leave moisture in the carpet. Also avoid floors that will be slippery when wet so that you do not fall when exiting the spa. Choose a floor material that offers good traction and drainage, such as a matte finish, non-slip tile.

Water Source Close By:
All of our Marquis Spas are portable units, meaning that they are self-contained and don’t require any additional plumbing to be run when installed. You will, however, need to have a source of water such as a garden hose connection, sink, or faucet close by the location where the spa will be placed to be able to fill the hot tub on a regular basis. Changing the water will need to be done every 3-4 months.

Access to move spa in and out:
Keep in mind that you may want to trade in your hot tub at a later time. Aqua Palace provides their customers with the best trade in program on their Marquis Spas than any other company in the local Omaha metro area! Trade up your spa every 4-5 years and maintain brand new warranty and you won’t have to pay much additional out of pocket to trade! We want to make sure that any doors that we have to go thru to get the hot tub in are not changed so that we are unable to easily remove the hot tub or are unable to place a newer model in the same location!

Draining the hot tub:
All of our hot tubs have a drain valve near the motor compartment that makes for easy access when draining the hot tub, as you simply screw on your garden hose, open the valve and it will naturally drain out. You will need to be close enough, however, to a window or door to where you can connect the garden hose and run it outside to drain. Draining the hot tub will occur every 3-4 months, even in the winter time.
